I procrastinate horribly, but when I really get down to it, I write really fast. Ironically, the faster I write, the happier I tend to be with the result. I only write fast when the story is really flowing, and the characters are merrily shouting in my ears, telling me what they want to say. The slower I write, the less I like the result.
So I now have a completed 40 page Chrestomanci story (I started it on Friday in my lunch break... and... er... overran slightly into the afternoon, but I'm owed a few million hours in lieu time for working late or at weekends, so I don't feel guilty.) I need to clean it up, and can then post it. Plus, I still need to edit and post the 15 page self-contained DIR story I wrote a month ago, the one I'm fairly sure no-one else will like.
Ah well. For now I'm off to rest my hands. Also, I've just found out that our Sunday night role-playing session is happening here tonight, rather than in its usual place, and the house is a tip, riddled with cat fur and things.
